We have a lively social calendar culminating in our ever-popular Stockwell Park Summer Festival weekend, held in June.
Reeling evenings and Burns Night Celebrations, September – January
We are now looking to launch a new format and programme for our SPRA Reeling evenings for the 2017-18 season. So please note the following dates in your diary:
- Friday 22 September '17 - first practice with friendly, professional caller!
- Friday 24 November '17 - Family Reels, run by Alexia Quin.
- CANCELLED - Friday 12 January '18 - final practice with friendly, professional caller.
- Friday 19 January '18 - Burns Night celebration, with live music and the traditional Stockwell Scottish accoutrements.
These evenings are relaxed and informal, with BYOB and BYON (nibbles), and we have a proper party for Burns’ Night.
All SPRA residents and children are welcome at all events, though please note there is a particular focus on family reels at the November session.
Tickets are £5 a head / £10 for Burns Night (to cover the live music), sold on a first-come first-served basis. Do book ahead as we tend to sell out.

Summer Festival, June
We run a popular Summer Festival every year in mid-June - this year on Friday 16 to Sunday 18 June '18. For details please see the Festival's pages, where you can also find entry forms for this year’s events and a summary of the results of last year's event.
Our popular Summer Festival has its own organising committee too. If you would like to get involved or provide feedback, please email email@example.com.
AGM and Drinks night
The Hut, Slade Gardens Adventure Playground
The 2017 AGM was held on Thursday 16 November '17 and the minutes will be published in due course.
The SPRA AGM and Drinks is the annual opportunity to talk over local issues and meet neighbours and friends, old and new. The formalities of the meeting are kept as brief as possible so that it can be adjourned in time for everyone to enjoy meeting other SPRA area residents, when wine and soft drinks are available.
A copy of the Association’s newsletter Spark will be delivered to each household in the area at the beginning of November. It will contain the agenda, the annual report of the activities of the Association and reports from other local groups who are so important to the life of the area.
